Audition and Nu Sound Ltd. discographies

Al Cecere owned the record labels Audition and Nu Sound Ltd., of Rochester, New York. It seems Cecere changed the label’s name to Nu Sound Ltd. with release #6111 by the Wee Four. Any help completing this discography, or info on Al Cecere’s productions or Riposo Studios would be appreciated.

  1. hello 🙂
i’m trying to find out if the ‘audition’ and ‘nu sound’ 45’s originally came out in brown or whit paper sleeves or in red and blue vertical striped distributor sleeves ?
any help would be very appreciated.
    thank you,
    marty

    1. I believe my copy of Warning that I bought at Albion’s W.T. Grant store in the spring of ’66 was in a brown sleeve. Haven’t found a garage sale copy in over 10 years, but the last one I did find was/is mint. Probably acquired more than a dozen in the 70s-90s.

    2. 6102 – The Vaqueros – Desert Wind / Echo (both by Weld-Heath-Corona) was released in the red and blue vertical striped distributor sleeves.

  2. I was a member of the band Rude Awakening that recorded “Certain Girl/Fortune Teller” in the late 60’s! Also recorded “Reach Out/In my Room” with the band called “Illusive Fog” at D’Arcy! Also recorded master tape of songs “The wind and I/Transplant of Love”! Would love to get a copy of that tape? Do you know if D’Arcy has all of their recordings somewhere to be bought?
