Terry Pilittere was the founder of the Rochester, NY group the Dimensions, in 1962. Members were Denny Drew lead guitar, Rob Salerno rhythm guitar, Ken Polizzi bass and vocals, and Terry on drums and vocals. In 1965 Jack Allocco joined and the band changed their name to the Wee Four, because none of the members was over 5′ 8″ tall.
The Wee Four recorded an excellent garage punker, “Weird” in 1966, written by Terry with his friend Jim Obi, b/w Terry’s song “Give Me a Try”. The Wee Four recorded other songs, including “I Could Never”, but these weren’t released.
Members of the band had conflicts with manager Al Cecere, but Terry decided to leave the group and go with Al as his manager for a solo record of two beautiful original songs, “It’s Not That Way” and “You Wouldn’t Believe Me”.
Terry passed away in December, 2000.

I have a metal acetate of this 45! This is a great site keep up the good work!
Dan, Iād love to know more about the acetate. Would you be willing to exchange email?
As Terry’s widow I thank you for the tributet to him and the band. Thank You Kenny for your insights. The gentleman who commented about the originial may very well have it. After Terry died from cancer, I turned all that DATA and paperwork from contracts over to his brother Gary who requested it. He may have sold it.
Again, thank you for the tribute. Terry passed away 12/20/2000.
some friends compiled a cd set of rochester and upstate bands and I heard wee four again for the first time since 66. I was blown away back then by it and even more so now. it is a timeless classic and this band is a world class group. I would love to find out more about thm. all the best brett

Thank You for honoring my brother who i miss every day
Yours Truly,
Gary Pilittere
You are correct. I am married to Dennis Drew and have been for 40+ years. He deserves the credit. I remember hearing weird on the radio many years before I met Dennis. He is still into music and always will be. Thank you for clarifying the picture.
What guitar did Danny use on this classic record?
Gary I want some of the pictures. Terry would have been happy to see them for Jack, Denny, and myself.
If any new stuff comes to light, I sure hope you guys will share it with the fans. I have only seen 2 pictures of the band. What a great group!
