Korsairs Edgewood Recording Studio 45 Acetate I Can Only Give You EverythingJolene Wood sent in this scan of an Edgewood Recording Studio acetate of the Korsairs of Tacoma Park, Maryland. The band covers “I Can Only Give You Everything” on one side and James Brown’s “I Don’t Mind” on the other. Another copy of this acetate sold for $790 in 2010.

Members included:

Mark Redd – lead vocals and keyboards
Joe [surname?] – guitar
Mark Fincham – drums

Mark played at the grand opening of the Kennedy Center Sept.8, 1971, perhaps on keyboard with his next band, Second Eagle or 2nd Eagle. Mark Ainsley Redd died in Marietta Ohio October 2019.

  1. I finally remember that Joe ‘s surname is Segonia. Band practices took place in Mark’s basement on Piney Branch Rd just off EastWest Hgwy in Tacoma Park, MD in mid 1960’s.
    Mark Redd graduated from Montgomery Blair high school in 1967 then attended George Washington Univ. He lived with his wife Nina in Ashburn VA before moving to Ohio.

  2. I would like to hear from friends or family members of the Korsairs
    band members. Curious if anyone besides me is still holding onto their original 45 acetate record covering James Brown “I Don’t Mind” and Them “I Can Only Give You Everything”. The sound is still lively and makes me want to dance, dance, dance!!!!!
