The Heard came from Haverhill MA but I don’t believe they ever recorded. Dennis Villanucci, bassist with another local group, the Royals, sent me the photo and card seen here.
Members included:
Mike Moustafa – lead guitar
Chuck Buzzell – rhythm guitar and bass
Eric McFadden – organ
Bob Fontaine – drums
Dennis tells me Eric McFadden is still performing today.
I always loved that band name. I had heard of them but heard them (neither of those “beards” was intentionally used as clever. In fact, I had always heard the name as The Herd which I thought was great ( like the Flock, The Litter, Critters…..). Though the Heard is quite a cool name also- sort of Plato’s-Cave type cool.
Too bad they never recorded anything as I would love to have heard them. Was there a Herd also?
