Welcome to another posting of a series of gig listings for 1960s bands. None of these lists is exhaustive and my idea is to add to them in the comments section below over time. They are here for future researchers to draw on. I have also added a few interesting bits of information and will add images in time.
I’d like to encourage band members to get in touch to share memories, or for anyone to send corrections/clarifications to my email: Warchive@aol.com
Equally important, if you attended any of the gigs below or played in the support band, please do leave your memories below in the comments section for future historians to use. If you know of any missing gigs, please add them too, if possible, with the sources.

This was a disaster of a tour for The Move (the line-up was Roy Wood, Carl Wayne, Bev Bevan and Rick Price) who had planned on driving rather than flying between the shows. They drove from New York to Boston without incident and the arrived from Boston into Chicago and things were a little fraught. They then drove to Hollywood. They played the Whisky and then on to San Francisco to play the Fillmore West (and this is where Rick Price was dosed). By this point they were all at the end of their tether – skipping out of the New York performances (and the drive to New York), they fly home to England. They saw out the year playing BBC sessions and a few previously arranged commitments. The end effectively came when having to perform in a cabaret at the Bailys Club in Sheffield between Christmas and New Year. These were at the behest of Carl Wayne who would leave immediately after these shows. Four of the times The Move were booked by Bill Graham they did not play.
Regards, Ross
I played with Forever Changes from 1967-1970 and recall playing for the second time with The Move at Devizes in Wiltshire ( I thought it was Carl Wayne last gig with the Move, but not sure.) Can this gig be verified.?
The first gig was The Starlight Room Boston 67. with The Move. ( ForeverChanges from Bedfordshire.
I would like to ascertain when the Move played at The Factory in Gas Street, Birmingham. Also on the bill was Marc Bolan’s Tyrannosaurus or T. Rex and John Peel compered. Either 1969 or 70.
We, The Klyx, supported The Move on 4-12-66 at the New Elizabethan, Belle Vue, Manchester. We were impressed by their performance and I will always remember it.

I recall seeing the Move at the Aviemore Centre, Aviemore in 1969, but I can’t remember the date or month. I was working in a hotel in nearby Grantown-on-Spey, Scotland that year between May and October, before returning home in Devon. That was the first gig I went to on my own, and the Move were fantastic!
Was at the 17th February 1968 Canterbury University gig, shows how old I am !!!!
I saw The Move the night before French mock O level at the. Spinning Disc in Leeds. Assume it was late 1969. Failed the exam!
I vaguely remember seeing the Move at a free concert in Sutton Park in the mid sixties. First time I saw a live band. Was completely blown away.
The Move played a gig in early May 1969 at the Mercatorhalle, Duisburg (Germany) as headliners, supported by several local bands.
1910 Fruitgum Company were originally announced as co-headliners, but they did not appear.
I was 16 years old, and The Move was my favourite band at this time.
I saw the Move in a hall in Eastcote Hillingdon I think it was called the Newborn club in approximately 1967 they were supported by a band called the Interstate Road Show. I was living in Hayes at time . A good night but the bouncers were ferocious.
