Marcam Hall in March, Cambridgeshire was an important music venue in the early-mid 1960s and hosted many of the top bands of the day.

According to Fabulous 208 magazine, Geno Washington & The Ram Jam Band played here on 2 July 1966
Played thewre with Jo Jo Jo several times. Big venue!!
If my memory is right I don’t think the Walker Brothers turned up !!! I was devastated ?
The inkspots played marcam hall on the 18th June 1966. However more interesting is the fact that the support group that night was a band called bluesology who’s keyboard player was Reginald Dwight who later changed his name to elton John
The Animals played on Saturday 15 May 1965, (“Latest hit recording Bring It On Home To Me”) supported by Shane Spencer and the Casuals (“from Nottingham”) Admission 10/-. Advert shows forthcoming bookings: The Birds May 25th, The Kinks May 29th, Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders June 5th, Adam Faith and the Roulettes June 12th 1965.

Lulu plus the Small Faces played there , 1964/5
Small Faces played Dec. 18th, 1965 with Jimmy Winston (replaced by Ian McClagan) on keyboards. I have the original signed contract for the gig in my memorabilia.
I played with The Trykons who supported Cyrano and the Bergeracs on 15th August 1964
Was this the American Band the Birds with Dave Crosby?
The Birds were the UK band with future Rolling Stone Ron Wood
Saw many of the top Jazz bands there in the 60’s Kenny Ball, Acker Bilk etc.
