They are here for future researchers to draw on. I have also added a few interesting bits of information and will add images in time.

1966
Having worked with Elders Consolidated from late 1964 to mid-1965 and The Cool School from mid-late 1965, Sonny Childe also worked briefly with The Pyramids.
In March 1966, he played at the Flamingo in Soho with The Alexis Korner Band and then was backed by various groups before joining Freddie Mack around May 1966.

Around early August, Sonny Childe, who was Sam Cooke’s nephew and later found fame as R B Greaves, split with TNT.
Kenzie joined Tuesday’s Children briefly. Hayes, Vaughan-Jones and Adamson joined the Jet Harris Band for a few months and then added Eddie Philips from The Creation on bass and brought back Phil Kenzie to reform TNT as PP Arnold’s backing group in November.

During February, The Les Fleur De Lys worked in West Germany for a month. While there, they met former Cheynes guitarist Phil Sawyer, who is working with Johnny Deen & The Deacons and invited him to join.
However, when the band returned to the UK, Alex Chamberlain departed.

Around this time, Frank Smith departed leaving Keith Guster as the only original member. Sawyer recommended his friend Chris Andrews as a lead singer. The band worked as a quartet for a short while before adding keyboard player Pete Sears.
By this point, the band have dropped the “Les” from their name and are billed as The Fleur De Lys.

Around February, Haskell’s friend from Bournemouth, Tony Head, who had sung with Dave Antony’s Moods from 1965-1966, joined.

Guster says they did two 15 minute slots as the band before backing Sharon Tandy for 30 minutes, then Donnie Elbert for 30 minutes and finally Sharon and Donnie together for 20 minutes.
28 April 1968 – Rotterdam and Amsterdam, Netherlands supporting Aretha Franklin (Keith Guster’s diary)
Guster says that the group rehearsed at the Revolution club on 24, 25 and 26 April before flying to Switzerland for the festival and Dutch dates.
On the band’s return to the UK, Gordon Haskell left to join The Flowerpot Men. Tago Byers from Reading band, The Moquettes took his place on bass.

Around March, Keith Guster was injured in a car accident and the band were unable to perform for several months. After he had recovered, Bryn Haworth departed for the US and the band Silver Metre followed soon after by Tony Head for a solo deal.
Guster and Byers briefly kept the band going with former Mojos guitarist Eddie Harnett before splitting in September. Guster and Byers then joined a reformed Amboy Dukes until May 1970.

The first date on 27 June went well but that evening Mark Leeman took a lift with one of singer Julie Grant’s friends to Blackburn and was killed in a car crash.

According to the Blues-rock Explosion book, edited by Summer McStravick and John Roos, Roger Peacock left in early-mid July (to join Dave Anthony’s Moods) after the failure of “Follow Me”.
Peacock’s replacement was Pete Hodges (who may be the same musician who had previously played with Jimmy Cliff & The New Generation and would briefly front The Attack).

According to the above book, this was the final gig but I found the following:
24 December 1966 – New Spot, Gosport, Hampshire with The Gass featuring Roscoe (Portsmouth News)
During early September Alan Roskams joined The Gass and later worked with Herbie Goins & The Night-timers.
Tom Parker briefly worked Boz & The Boz People (including a Dusty Springfield tour) and then joined Eric Burdon & The New Animals for a short tour. Parker then joined Jimmy James & The Vagabonds.
Brian Davison meanwhile joined The Habits before briefly working with The Mike Cotton Sound and then The Attack (in January 1967). After working with Don Shinn, he joined The Nice that August.

They are here for future researchers to draw on and, where possible, I have added the sources used, whether they are newspapers or websites. I have also added a few interesting bits of information and will add images in time.

Back in the Britain after the German dates, Mick Dunford becomes ill on the eve of a Scottish tour in July/August and is forced to leave. John Allen (b. 23 April 1945, St Albans, Hertfordshire) takes over lead guitar.

The Amboy Dukes’ debut 45 “Turn Back to Me”, which features George Hall guesting on flute, backed by “I Never Complain About You”, is released on 17 February 1967.
The two tracks are recorded at Advision Studios in New Bond Street with producer Jeff Cooper and engineer Eddie Kramer.
Not long after the debut single’s release, the band records a follow up, “All I Need” c/w “Doing the Best I Can”. The two tracks are also recorded at Advision Studios with Eddie Kramer and new producer Terry Kennedy. Keyboard player Ian Green guests on the recordings.

The Amboy Dukes’ second 45, “All I Need” is released on 4 July.
During July, the seven-piece group (with Buddy Beadle onboard) records its next single at Polydor’s studios near Oxford Street. Produced by Terry Kennedy, the tracks are two ska numbers that feature in the band’s live set. Taking part of the title from a Reading suburb where one of the band members came from, the tracks are named “Highlife in Whitley Wood Parts 1 and 2”.
Not long after the recording, Steve Gregory tenor sax player with The Alan Price Set takes over from Ken McColm.

The band’s manager John Gunnell brings John Fred’s “Judy In Disguise” from the States for the band to record. The track is recorded in a small studio in Denmark Street with guest harmonica player Moxy. Terry Kennedy once again produces the session which also produces the flip side, “Who’s Foolin’ Who”.
The recordings also feature former Georgie Fame trumpet player Eddie Thornton.

The original band split up in September 1969 but reformed with new members in October:

Keith Guster (drums)
Keith Guster, who’d until recently been playing with The Fleur De Lys with Tago Byers, notes in his diary that it was Byers that asked him to join the newly reformed band. Byers was from Reading and knew the group’s singer.
Mick Fletcher was from southeast London and had previously worked with The Epitaph Soul Band, Jimmy Cliff & The New Generation and Hamilton & The Hamilton Movement.
Guster’s diary entry for Sunday, 28 September notes that Byers rang him. The drummer, who was living in Bayswater, then travelled from Paddington to a hall in Crown Street, Reading to rehearse material with the five-piece band on 30 September and 1 October before kicking off the dates on 2 October.
