Bonnie Lynd is a true mystery artist, as I haven’t found any clues as to who she was, or where this record came from.
“Left with a Broken Heart” has Bonnie’s pleading vocal over a garage band backing featuring organ and background vocals.
The flip “Since He Went Away” is a slow ballad. Bonnie Lynd and Jane Athens wrote both songs, published by Bon-Jo Music, but I cannot find copyright registrations for either.
Released on Sheridan Records S-201 in July 1966. There’s a simple C-105/106 code in the dead wax and on the labels, and the vinyl pressing is of mediocre quality.
A contributor to 45cat noted that copyright registrations from 1971 state that Bonnie Lynd is a pseudonym for Bonnie Polsky, but we don’t know if this is the same Bonnie Lynd.
Bonnie Lynd was the stage name of Bonnie (Polsky) Lefkof: https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/tampabaytimes/obituary.aspx?n=bonnie-lefkof&pid=188746379
She married a trumpet player, Saul Lefkof, and they performed together in a jazz trio in the 1970s (?) https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/197554460/saul-murry-lefkof (see photo)

After Kevin Frye’s untimely death in 2016 and again after the passing of one of the band’s devoted longtime pianists, Bonnie Lefkof (Bonnie Lynd) in 2018, the surviving members of Mike’s band have continued to perform individually, though the collective joyous force that was The Mike Eisenstadt Band now lives only in unending memory and in the joy of his recordings. It is possible still to view the band’s website as it remained before Kevin’s death at http://www.eisenstadtband.com.https://www.wmnf.org/events/sunday-simcha/

I knew Bonnie Lynd (Polsky) from Queens and the Catskills. She went to Queens College. I am also a pianist who played upstate NY in Catskills at Rosemond Hotel in Woodridge in 1970’s My website: http://www.jazzbonerecords.com
Bonnie Polsky & I attended Queens College (part of CUNY) at the same time, met thru a mutual girlfriend and became good friends.
I still have a copy of her 8×10 glossy publicity photo using her professional name, Bonnie Lynd, which she signed for me. She was abt 19 at the time.
We spent a lot of time together out of school. I was often at Bonnie’s apartment in Queens. I remember that my boyfriend and I picked up Bonnie and her boyfriend Jeff, who was a pianist, one snowy New Year’s Eve in Spring Valley NY after they finished a gig. We went on to spend the weekend in the Catskills. After graduation, especially after she became involved with Saul Lefkof, we lost touch. I am very sorry to hear that she passed away , far too soon, a few years ago.
Jeff and Bonnie were hired by my dad, Saul Lefkof, to perform in his band at Ruben’s hotel in the Catskills. Jeff was fired for not being sober. And my dad started managing Bonnie’s singing career. My dad paid for the recording of Bonnie’s songs. My dad had a top arranger for her music. I thought it sounded great. But the record companies passed on Bonnie. And my dad and Bonnie formed the duo, “Bonnie and Soul”” playing around the country in lounges. They settled in Houston, Texas to be near Bonnie’s dad. Then he died, and they moved near Tampa Bay, Florida where her mom lived. They had a son in Texas. My dad died. Bonnie taught music in Florida and performed in lounges. She died a few years ago. Bonnie was nice to me. We played tennis. We played duets on the piano and she showed me some musician songs. She was very talented and a fine musician. I think she majored in music at Queens College.
